Overall, The Legend Is Born: Ip Man passes the standard in all the necessary departments, leading to a recommendable marital arts picture.

The martial arts choreography is impressive, and while there is a lot of sparring in the early going, that doesn't make it any less entertaining. Interesting story of his life what I can see the love triangles and plot of a Japanese spy. Also doesn't star Donnie Yen which sucks because he's a great actor.
